Chill Out, It's Highschool

Dear High School Sweethearts,

You're literally a child still in grade school. You don't pay taxes. You don't have real responsibility. Why are you trying to get married? You might say otherwise but you freak out about every little thing, spend all of your time trying to show your love, and are really just a clingy little fool. The probability of you staying with your high school sweetheart is less than 2% and that number is getting worse. You have so much growth left.

You haven't met most of the people you will know in your life. You don't have real world experience. It wasn't until last year that you stopped doing that one childish thing and you still do all those other ones. Why would you take the relationship you are in right now so seriously? It's the result of your hormones and the loneliness that we all battle throughout life not because you love each other. Just chill out.

You have more of your life ahead of you than behind you. That annoying little thing that they do will just keep getting more annoying. That argument you keep having will keep coming up. They might not like your new friends and you might not like theirs. You're still living in your parents house. I am not saying embrace singularity and leave the one you think you love. I am saying be real. Understand that it's probably temporary.

  Sincerely,

     A Concerned Onlooker
